Monologue Workshops

Earlier this year I attended a workshop given by playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis. Having been a longtime fan of Stephen's work, I was excited to see where he would take us.

He asked us to write a letter to someone we had an unresolved issue with. Then write a second letter from the recipient as a response. We got up and read this personal work and discussed where it could go from there. I came away from this workshop reminded once again how vital it is we allow ourselves to be who we are and speak that out.

In the upcoming workshops I'll be teaching in LA and San Francisco, we will be taking this work to the next level. We will develop the writing, deepen connection to the text and get the actor on his feet.

Speaking one's truth with clarity and conviction while putting it on paper can be incredibly freeing and inspiring.

I am very much looking forward to doing these workshops, and being a part of allowing your own words and voices to be heard.

Hope to see you there!
